JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound erupted on Off Broadway’s stage Friday night with their retro thumping soul, style and sound. The crowd immediately started grooving as the Uptown Sound’s drumbeats and catchy horns brought everyone to the dance floor. Brooks’ prominent stage performance and resonating vocals carried the set well into the night.
