What a good idea!  Spend your Saturday afternoon, evening, and night listening to some of St. Louis’ best indie and experimental artists in an intimate, eclectic setting.  Whether it’s the ethereal, grand melodies of Syna So Pro or the electro, glitched out wackiness of Hood Kicks – you’re gonna have a good time.  And, save a few bucks if you bring pot-luck food - Oh yeah.

Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles w/ Last Train Home

Where: the Deluxe (in Maplewood)
When: 8 PM

It’s always sad to see a great venue move on – however, the Deluxe isn’t about to go out on a sour note.  Enlisting the help of two accomplished, Americana / Roots Rock groups - Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles and Last Train Home – their final show will be a winner.  Last Train Home builds a full rock sound out of country roots, while the strength in Sarah Borges’ voice will capture the attention of a sure-to-be wild crowd celebrating the Deluxe’s contribution to St. Louis music.

The Cans & Coats Christmas Show w/ Jumbling Towers, John Hardy and the Public, and Dear Vincent

Eleven Magazine proudly sponsors the annual Cans & Coats Christmas show at Off Broadway.  Although Gentleman Auction House had to drop from the bill due to their singer falling ill, the lineup for the night still remains strong.  Be sure to bring canned goods or a coat to receive reduced admission and a free alcoholic beverage from New Belgium.

If you’d like to put a good cap on your weekend and start the next week off right, then be sure to catch the Bearded Babies blend of folk and bluegrass Sunday night at the Deluxe.  However, don’t let the upcoming work week stop you from enjoying a glass of whiskey – it’ll go down well with the Babies’ traditional Irish undertones infused with old time country melodies and banjo fingerpickin’.
