Tim Rakel of 88.1 KDHX will DJ an exhibition at The Pulitzer to coincide with the gallery’s newest exhibition: Reflections of the Buddha. The soundtrack will include music from the cultures represented in the exhibition and be accompanied by a live performance.
Who: Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts
What: Sound Waves with KDHX
Where: 3716 Washington Boulevard
When: Thursday, October 6 and Thursday, December 8. 6-9 PM
Why: To accentuate Buddhist hypothesis with a sonic feast
Part light show, sonic medium, and tangible sculptural pieces, The Pulitzer and KDHX will create a full-bodied, sensual experience for the art and Tadao Ando’s architecture. It’s a great way to learn about ancient art, contemporary art and St. Louis’s most revered independent/local music provider. The event is FREE to the public and white wine will accompany the trip to ignite the viewer’s palette and complete the journey from visceral experience to the meditative atmosphere of Buddhism.
