This week’s Record Club entry was mailed to us (figuratively) by Euclid Records.
The Cynics – Rock ‘n’ Roll
If you’re looking for a healthy dose of garage rock, you’ve found some potent medicine. The Cynics, a mid-80s to early 90s group of rock revivalists (though they are still somewhat active today), throw enough crunchy guitar riffs on Rock ‘n’ Roll to make you second guess what decade you’re in. Add in some 60s flowery organ melodies and pre-punk fury, and you’re set to crank the stereo – the only thing missing is the 60′s Cadillac convertible.
The Eleven Record Club is sponsored in part by your local St. Louis record stores, Vintage Vinyl, Euclid Records, and Phono Mode.
